Racing's involvement in Standardbred ownership began when we
formed the "Write Stuff Stable" in 2009. This small
group of owners was comprised of friends working in racing media
and other interested parties. We've since become partners in the Stake Your Claim Stable, which sells ownership shares in racehorses and yearlings and manages their careers.
Stake Your Claim Stable has had great success since its inception in 1995 and is a perfect fit for GS Racing's goal to own shares in several quality racehorses. The

As
horses are bought into by GS Racing, information
on each will be posted here for our family and friends who like to follow the action. Our first horse was an Indiana-bred
pacer named JD's Awesom Al, who won nine times
for the Write Stuff partnership while successfully moving up the class ladder.
He was claimed from us this past summer.
On October 12 we purchased an interest through Stake Your Claim in the pacer Playin For Keeps. He was a multiple stakes winner as a 2-year-old and this year at 3 has raced in prestigious Illinois-bred stakes like the Pete Langley, Cardinal, and State Fair Colt Stakes. He is currently racing at Harrah's Chester and Yonkers and will be racing at the Meadowlands this winter.
